Clash of the Titans tonight.
Too close to call. My head says Germany will march on like a well oiled military machine but my heart says Conte will inspire a Catenaccio renaissance to sneak Italy through to the semi's and continue the hoodoo over Germany.
Should be a cracking game.

The Zaza pen is pure gold.
Ever noticed that you rarely see a pen saved when the ball is high...that's how Shearer took his pens...not always that easy of course for fear of skying it.

At least they brought on a striker for the pen
Unlike when we brought in a thick scouse centre back because he was 'good in training' and he didn't even realise you had to wait for a whistle before taking it

Out of interest, being an ex-alcholic, do you lay of the sauce completely, or have you managed to rein it in but still can have a pint or three?
I do hate that 'recovering alcoholic, drug addict, gambling addict' line of thought. I was ridiculously addicted to fruit machines for about ten years of my former years, wasted thousands and thousands of pounds on the fuckers, but then I just stopped. So class myself as an ex twat, not a recovering gambling addict.
Saying that, I'd hate to knock the booze on the head as I enjoy the pub culture, the taste of lager, pretty barmaids and all that. As much as it's probably killing me.

If I was a Manager I would threaten to not play again any player that fannies about on a run up to a penalty. I am sure that most penalties missed these days are staggered run ups. Take a proper run up for gods sake and smack it like Tonka, Dicksie or Nobes!!!

Except when it involves England, of course. Those are quite boring because you know what the result will be.
